Who Are We and Why Are We Headed for Shamrock?

We met online in 2005 trying to--what else--lose weight. We've had our ups and downs along the way, but we're not where we want to be. This is our journey to get fit and healthy. We invite you to follow us as we "exercise" our way across the country--track our progress on the map to Shamrock below-- in an effort to each lose 50 pounds by the end of 2009 and adopt a healthier lifestyle along the road.

Where will we go once we reach our goals? The sky's the limit... but we're thinking Greece would be nice.

Happy Birthday, Peggy Sue!


Once upon a time, Betty Lou and Peggy Sue met while pursuing their least favorite, but, unfortunately, a most perssistant passtime: weight loss. There have been ups and there have been downs --in life and on the scale- but through thick and thin (mostly thick) these girls have stuck it out together. Two beautiful boys and three years later, their paths have led them here. And this is where their quest for weight loss ends and the rest of their healthy and happy live will begin.

Peggy Sue, next year, you will look and feel amazing for the big 40! Your 39th year is YOUR year and we will make it amazing together.


To Shamrock and beyond! Happy birthday, my friend.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you for the lovely serenade! I've had it in my head since I watched it last night. I hope your day today is better than yesterday.

    Uh...I just ate the last 1.75 pieces of cheesecake. Yikes.

    Glad you liked the song. I'd been trying to get a music widget to work from the side bar, but no luck with that yet.
