Who Are We and Why Are We Headed for Shamrock?

We met online in 2005 trying to--what else--lose weight. We've had our ups and downs along the way, but we're not where we want to be. This is our journey to get fit and healthy. We invite you to follow us as we "exercise" our way across the country--track our progress on the map to Shamrock below-- in an effort to each lose 50 pounds by the end of 2009 and adopt a healthier lifestyle along the road.

Where will we go once we reach our goals? The sky's the limit... but we're thinking Greece would be nice.

It's not leap year, is it?

Day one down and only 364 more to go. I did pretty well in all regards. My walk/hike wasn't all that heavy duty but today is a holiday, afterall.

B/L (NY brunch)-1/2 croissant, pear, scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, salsa
Sn- banana, 2 sm pieces homemade choc biscotti
D- Fajita salad made with fake chicken (yuck!) pepper strips, 1 oz cheese, salsa (no dressing)
H2O-60+ oz
Exercise-2.5 miles walking

We're going to watch a movie later, so I know I'm also going to have some popcorn. But that's ok.

Peggy Sue:
I didn't do wonderfully, but I ate less food than I have been lately, so.

B: small bowl of Kashi GoLean Crunch with milk
L: leftover Nutrisystem Fettucini meal with sauteed onions, asparagus, mushrooms, 1T. red. fat sour cream
D: peanut butter sandwich on ww bread, glass of milk
snacks: about 8 large marshmallows (stupid), small bowl bran flakes with milk and 1/2 tsp. sugar, 2 small egg nog cookies, and shamefully about 1/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips! SHEESH!
H20: 64 oz.
Exercise: 15 minutes calisthenics; pedometer = 3283 steps (1.5 miles)
