Who Are We and Why Are We Headed for Shamrock?

We met online in 2005 trying to--what else--lose weight. We've had our ups and downs along the way, but we're not where we want to be. This is our journey to get fit and healthy. We invite you to follow us as we "exercise" our way across the country--track our progress on the map to Shamrock below-- in an effort to each lose 50 pounds by the end of 2009 and adopt a healthier lifestyle along the road.

Where will we go once we reach our goals? The sky's the limit... but we're thinking Greece would be nice.

Day 12: Daily Report




Breakfast
  • hard boiled egg
  • grapefruit...both halves
Snack
  • 6 ww crackers
  • lf string cheese
Lunch
  • Frozen indian food entre from Amy's organics (rice, spinach, kidney beans)
Snack
  • Popcorn... no butter, but too much of it
Dinner
A weird dinner, but it's just one of those things...
  • Coleslaw
  • lf string cheese
Water
  • 80+oz
Exercise
  • not






Breakfast (late!)
  • 1 bowl Kashi 7 Grain Flakes and milk
  • 1 banana
Lunch
  • 1 whole wheat quesadilla (dry skillet) with 1/8 c. cheese, 1 Tbsp. corn, 2 Tbsp. black beans, 5 slices black olives, smattering of green chilies, 1 Tbsp. reduced fat sour cream
  • Kashi southwestern frozen entree (can't remember the name...but had corn, rice, black beans, etc.), 1 Tbsp. sour cream, 1/8 c. cheese
Snack
  • I must admit, a few BLT's of chocolate frosting while I was icing the cake.
Dinner
  • 1 piece of homemade chocolate birthday cake
  • 1 small scoop chocolate ice cream
Water
  • about 70 oz
Exercise
  • Wii Fit: 60 minutes = 4 miles (for the map)
  • Pedometer: 6945 steps, but I forgot to take it off during the Wii, so probably more like 4000 steps = 2 miles
