Who Are We and Why Are We Headed for Shamrock?

We met online in 2005 trying to--what else--lose weight. We've had our ups and downs along the way, but we're not where we want to be. This is our journey to get fit and healthy. We invite you to follow us as we "exercise" our way across the country--track our progress on the map to Shamrock below-- in an effort to each lose 50 pounds by the end of 2009 and adopt a healthier lifestyle along the road.

Where will we go once we reach our goals? The sky's the limit... but we're thinking Greece would be nice.

Day 21: Daily Report






Breakfast
  • none
Lunch
  • spinach salad w/egg, beets, walnuts, lite balsamic dressing
Snack
  • 5 wheat thins
Dinner
  • pb&j on sprouted bread
  • apple
Water
  • 8o0z
Exercise
  • 2 miles walking
Victories: Well, I didn't overeat!

Defeats: Not exactly a balanced diet today.

Observations: I'm exhausted.






Breakfast
  • 1 c. bran flakes and milk
  • 1 banana
Snack
  • 6 oz. Yoplait lite Banana Cream Pie yogurt
Lunch
  • French toast made from homemade rolls, 3 3" rolls; syrup
Snack Attack
  • 1 1/2 c. diet mousse
  • 3 shortbread cookies made by 10yo Obi-Wan
  • another banana
(insert splitting headache here)
Dinner
  • had planned not to have dinner, but had 1/2 bag microwave popcorn
Water
  • 60 oz.
Exercise
  • none
Victories: Having several moments, post eating-binge, of self awareness. But that's it.

Defeats: Eating junk. Not exercising, but the headache caused that. I would've exercised last night.

Observations: See my Queen of Denial post. Tomorrow is another day.

  3. Oh, and I was so delirious the evening I posted this that I just realized that my graphic says "Beauty on Duty" and not "Betty on Duty". So there you go.
